Glue Carpet To Carpet

Seal the seam between two pieces of carpet using a seam sealer.

Pull the carpet back into position and smooth it out until there are no wrinkles. Lift the edge of one piece of the carpet gently and squeeze a 1 8 inch bead of the sealer along the upper edge of the backing. This will help to dry up and loosen the glue from your carpet. Use a trowel to apply a layer of glue to each of the outside corners.

The area covered by glue should be between 12 and 16 inches in length. Start on one side of the room and pull the carpet back about half the distance of the room.
